The Team

John Thompson
Photographer/Owner
My love for photography started back in the early 2000s when I was in high school. I was fascinated how an image could hold so much beauty and emotion. In college, I worked as a photography assistant for the campus photographers. I assisted with staff portraits, photo editing and ad campaigns.

After college, I spent almost nine years in law enforcement. It was a demanding career that taught me discipline, empathy, and how to stay calm in just about any situation. But as time went on, I realized that lifestyle didn’t fit the future I wanted. When I met my wife, Victoria, and her kids, everything shifted. I knew I couldn’t give my best to a young family. I made the decision to step away from public service and start something new; something built around passion, connection, and purpose.

When I moved to Pennsylvania, I knew I wanted to start my own business, but I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. It was actually Victoria who pushed me back toward photography. She was the one who suggested I look into boudoir photography and I instantly fell in love with it. It was art with meaning; a way to remind people how powerful and beautiful they really are. What I didn’t expect was how much it would help me heal from everything I’d seen and experienced in law enforcement. Creating beauty and helping others reconnect with themselves has given me a sense of peace and purpose I didn’t know I was missing.

Since then, my work has been recognized both locally and internationally. I’m proud to have received the 2025 Reader’s Choice Best of the Main Line award from Medianews Main Line and Suburban Times, the 2024 Rising Star Award from the Association of International Boudoir Photographers (AIBP), and Bronze ratings in both the AIBP Visionary Awards and the Master Photographers International Image Challenge. My work has also earned an AIBP Monthly Choice Award and multiple shortlist selections in the Boudoir Inspiration Boudoir Photography Awards 2024.

I’m a member of both AIBP and the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and have trained with some of the best in the industry — Nino Batista, Lindsay Adler, and Scott Robert Lim.

Every session I create is about trust, connection, and transformation. It’s not just about photos; it’s about creating an unforgettable experience that allows my clients to see themselves in a new light.
